I welcome you to my hometown of Dubrovnik where I was born and raised. Let me tell you the history and the way of life as a local who has been living and working in the Old City for many years. Even in the hardest of times, during the recent Homeland War in Croatia, I was here, proudly defending the "Grad" and its people, as we, the locals call Dubrovnik with a capital G, meaning: „The City".

As a fellow traveller who's travelled to every continent of the world, I know what it's like to be a tourist, so give me the opportunity and pleasure of meeting you and showing you our fascinating and enchanting Old City. As quoted by the famous Irish playwright, George Bernard Shaw: "If you want to see heaven on Earth, come to Dubrovnik".

I truly believe that being a local and having many years of experience working in tourism will guarantee you only the best of the service and pleasure during your visit. Vlaho handled a serious and difficult subject very well. I now have a much deeper understanding of the breakup of Yugoslavia in a way that will stay with me for a very long time. It was a privilege to hear about what happened in Dubrovnik from someone who was there during the war. I recommend doing the tour early during your stay because Vlaho was very helpful with advice for the rest of our time in Croatia.

Vlaho did a beautiful job mixed history, experience and a world of knowledge about his beautiful home town of Dubrovnik. He messaged me back and forth and patiently made sure all my questions were answered. Vlaho gave my group perfect instructions as to where to meet him. My wife has troubles with lots of stairs, cobblestones and inclines. He made sure that she knew in advance where the few steps were and watched out for her through the whole your. From the time we started the tour, Vlaho explained very articulately how history brought us to where we were right then and there. He explained how things have changed over the years. He didn’t miss a step. He made us feel like locals walking through small side streets discussing whatever we saw. My wife and I have been traveling for over 40 years and I consider Vlaho one of the best tour guides we ever had. When you come to Dubrovnik, you must tour with Vlaho. Dubrovnik’s City Walls were a fantastic start to exploring the Old Town. Starting I. The early morning was a great idea, as it was cooler and the crowds were less. Vlaho was an informative and engaging guide, giving much historical information as well as answering our questions. He was very patient with us during this heat wave, and we thank you for taking the time to walk us around your beautiful city!City Walls splendor!

Vlaho was an excellent tour guide! He walked us through the old town while explaining the history of this beautiful city and also giving us a taste of local life. A most enjoyable 3hours with Vlaho. I learnt so much about the history, delivered in the most interesting way. Vlaho is incredibly learned and passionate about his country and this comes across. He also has an incredible sense of humour which mJes him great company. I could easily have done a couple more hours. Highly recommended tour. Informative and fun

Before we left for Dubrovnik we messaged Vlaho to say we had two tours booked. He replied immediately taking care to ensure they complimented each other. He also provided other information to make sure we were prepared. He has a vast knowledge and passion regarding his city and we were all very enlightened by his explanation of the history- recent and past of Dubrovnik. We spent time at the war museum before taking to the walls. He was very patient in fact the only reason for 9 stars would be the war museum was done at a sedate pace and we would maybe have liked it slightly quicker although others may appreciate the pace. He took some super photos and shared some historical and game of thrones linked anecdotes. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would recommend.Walls and war tour with Vlaho
