I have visited Paris on another two occasions but this visit was certainly the standout and most memorable and I think part of this was because we kicked off our time in Paris with a fabulous walking tour through the streets with Welly as our tour guide. We really loved getting to hear more about the history of this wonderful city and have a local take us through some of the notable but maybe less touristy and less well known sites that were local to Saint Germaine where we stayed. Having a tour flexible to our preferences and from a local gave us a whole new perspective and insights into Paris we personally found to be valuable and something we got more from than a standard hop on hop off tour that is more touristy and covers the sites everyone knows. Welly was also great at sharing information and planning a tour that engaged our children ages 11 and 13 and answering their questions. He was patient with them and his English was easily understood by us Australians with limited French language skills! Lastly he really took note of our interests and preferences during the tour and afterwards sent us a lovely bunch of recommendations crafted to our personal interests that were convenient to where we were staying in terms of restaurants, shopping and places to visit. We found this personalised touch very thoughtful and useful. I am so glad we booked this tour with Welly and believe it really helped us all fall in love with Paris. We will be back again! Welly is flexible! Welly is knowledgeable. Le Professeur Welly took us on a guided tour that included many interesting and beautiful Parisienne landmarks. His historical knowledge of the city and its origins was superb. As a school teacher I was impressed with Welly’s recall of dates of events that have shaped this country and its famous architecture. Welly was very easy to converse with and has speaks several languages. We highly recommend Welly as a guide on your Paris adventure.Hidden histories

Many thanks to Welly and WithLocals! We arrived Sunday a bit jetlagged but started our week in Paris with a 5 hour tour with Welly. Everything went extremely well and he customized our tour just as we asked taking us around to "hidden gems." He was always careful to ask about the speed of walking and whether we needed to use the restroom or not. Not just a great tour but also a great guy! By the way, this is our second tour with WithLocals. Both tours have been exceptional and a great way to begin a trip to a foreign city. Welly is the best!

We met Welly for a 3 hour tour on our first morning in Paris. Welly curated a walking tour for our family through a series of neighborhoods we were most interested in. Welly communicates perfectly in English and gave us just the right amount of history of the city and culture. He even had an interactive scavenger hunt of street art that are kids were obsessed with. Couldn’t imagine a better introduction to Paris. Thanks Welly. Increible walking tour and intro to Paris

We had a great walking tour with Welly! Wonderful introduction to the city for a first morning in Paris. He walked us through several districts and gave us a good amount of history. He was able to keep two 14 year old boys engaged. Afterwards he messaged me suggestions on restaurants, bakeries, etc. Highly recommend!Great tour! Very engaging!
