It was a glorious early spring morning in Amsterdam and Willem led us on a walk that covered Amsterdam’s history, architecture and current culture. Over more than three hours we saw and learned a lot. Willem is knowledgeable with a great sense of humour. Really enjoyable and highly recommended if you’re looking for something out of the normal tourist routes. A quirky walk through Amsterdam’s history

Willem was many things… funny, informative, friendly and on time! He made sure we saw many interesting parts of Amsterdam, gave us a history lesson at almost every location and even made sure we took the proper train back to the airport! Highly recommended! It was a 10!Great time with Willem!

Our tour with Willem was amazing! As a local he shared the rich the history of Amsterdam and took us to secret gardens/courtyards. In addition, we also enjoyed his great sense of humor. Best way to see Amsterdam

Willem was an excellent guide! We were able to ask him all sorts of questions and he took us where we wanted to go as well as to places we weren't aware of. Willem had a sense of humor as well. We appreciated his recommendations and can't wait to come back to Amsterdam now that we have a better sense of the city, it's history and it's residents! Informative from someone who knows!

On a short layover in Amsterdam, I experienced a City Tour of Amsterdam's canals and red light district. It was truly a memorable experience from start to finish. Willem accommodated my needs by meeting me at the airport since there was no way I could navigate Amsterdam enough to go beyond the airport without a guide and not miss my connecting flight. I felt comfortable because he is a genuine, kind, and caring person. Willem's deep knowledge of Amsterdam's history, culture, and architecture was immediately evident. He effortlessly navigated through the city's streets and canals, offering fascinating insights into each landmark we passed. My experience with Willem surpassed my expectations. We had a wonderful time with Willem the author, journalist and fabulous story teller. We were two families with five kids between us and Willem managed to keep them all entertained with interesting family friendly history and facts while touring the centre of Amsterdam. We all had a brilliant time. He is also a great photographer and we got a few group shots of us all together in scenic and interesting places. Highly recommend Fabulous time with Willem
