Hello, nice to meet you! I'm Xavier and I live in a small village just outside of Bruges. Everytime when I enter the historical city center of Bruges again, I'm feeling so blessed that I was born and raised here. Bruges keeps on surprising me, even after more than 35 years.

Besides being a guide, I'm also working as an independent content creator, travel journalist, photographer, tour leader and so much more. That means that I travel a lot and discover so many new places in the world. But honestly: I also like to just be at home, in my beautiful Bruges. My travel companions and I only had one short day in Bruges. We decided to book Xavier’s Highlights and Hidden Gems walking tour so that we could really see as much as we could of this beautiful city. Xavier is charming, kind, and knowledgeable about his home town. He modified our tour to fit our needs and desires. This trip was our first into Belgium (3 cities in 3 days) and served a reconnaissance mission for future trips. We will most definitely be back to spend more time in Bruges thanks to Xavier. We will be wanting to book other tours with him at that time. Highly recommend! A most perfect afternoon!!

There were 4 of us in our group with Xavier. We very much appreciated his insight into Bruges as we explored it for the first time. Great information about the city and its history. We were able to see and learn a lot about the city. Insights into the city were very helpful for us. He provided an extensive list of restaurants when asked. We did go to two he suggested…..L’Estaminet (great place and definitely felt more local) and Grand Cafe De Republiek (another great option that we were grateful for the recommendation).Awesome Tour with Xavier!

Xavier met us at the train station and we spent about 15 minutes getting to know each other before venturing on Bruges tour. Xavier talked clearly and was willing to answer all and any questions. My wife has a minor mobility issue and Xavier was cognizant and accommodated her walk within the tour. Part way through the tour we stopped for a brief coffee break and our discussions were Bruges insightful. Lunch (by our choice ) was simple and at a local sandwich shop. It was wonderful We saw all we had come to see and when the tour was completed we certainly felt like we had connected with Xavier. It was an enjoyable tour time with him. I recommend him highly.Great Guide with infectious personality
