Hi there, I'm Yana your tour guide and an archeologist. After I graduated from the State University of my hometown in international relations, I moved to China where I spent 5 years studying chinese, working hard and facing the cruel "try-to-find-good-italian-coffee" reality. I moved to Italy after, where I got my degree in history and archeology. Besides, my passion to art, history and languages brought me to Naples, that got my heart. So after I got an official tour guide license and started showing people the beauties of this amazing place. I couldn't help but wonder, how all these italians can stay that positive all the time? It took me several years here to understand and start following the rhythm of the most chaotic and the most charismatic city of Italy - Naples. So my shrink Mount Vesuvius says "you never know what's gonna happen tomorrow so be happy right now" and you know, I think he is right, what you think?

Cannot speak more highly of Yana, With Locals and our driver Luigi. We opted for a customised day tour incorporating Pompeii Ercolano Mt Vesuvius and a wine tasting lunch. Yana made all the arrangements without any issues and the day was immaculate. Her archeological knowledge is first rate in any one of her 5 languages. She even managed to arrange Napoli winning Serie A on same day, how good is she!Bellisimo

We loved our tour with Yana and the stories she told about the eruption, the different buildings and the people who lived there. Yana made it all come to life and she answered all our questions and took noticed of our energy and needs for breaks. It was an amazing experience and most of it is thanks to Yana. If you have the means to book a private tour we absolutely recommend you to do so.When history comes to life

We had a great tour of one area of Pompeii. Yana opened up the artistic and cultural side of Roman Life. She unpicked the meanings of the frescoes, particularly in the Villa of Mysteries. She was very patient and understanding of my husband’s visual issues. She was fun, informative and clearly had a great knowledge. Excellent English and good communication before the tour. Yana met my family of 5 (with 3 teenagers) in a cafe to start our tour of Pompei. We had only booked a 2 hour tour, so she wanted to make sure we got to make the most of it and start before we even entered the park. Despite the crowds, we moved freely and never felt hurried or any stress from Yana at all. Her connections with park staff were clear and her demeaner was calm, inspired and steady. She was so knowledgeable and a great storyteller. She chose a perfect itinerary for the short time we had and for the group members. We felt like we got a thorough introduction to Pompei, and she picked out the most amazing additional sights to move on to without her after the tour was over. I think the only way we could have had a richer experience would have been to spend 3-4 days there to thoroughly get to know Pompei. I can't recommend Yana enough - we felt so lucky passing by the bigger tours with their headsets and the confused looks on their faces! If we are ever able to come back, I hope Yana is available to take us all around Napoli! Thanks again, Yana! Such a wonderful tour of Pompei!

We had a wonderful day with Yana! She gave us a great introduction to the history and way of life in ancient Ercolaneum and Pompeii. Upon her suggestion we started in Ercolaneum and ended in Pompeii which was the perfect order to fully experience both places. Yana’s passion and knowledge was apparent throughout our experience.A perfect archeological tour!

I booked a Pompeii tour with Yana a few months prior to our date. I was concerned about getting from Naples train station to Pompeii with luggage and she was able to secure a car service for me. She also assisted with finding a storage for the luggage. Our two hours with her went very quickly and we did see many amazing sites. She was able to answer questions we had, even some detailed ones my husband had. She was extremely professional and engaging. We never felt like we were listening to a lecture of facts. I would highly recommend Yana for a Pompeii tour! Very knowledgeable and accommodating.

My husband, daughter, our friend and I spent a wonderful afternoon in Pompeii. Yana is an exceptional person, full of knowledge, speaks several world languages ​​and obviously has experience with guiding around Pompeii.
