Yousuf provided us with a great day out. He was communicative with details before the tour and arrived at our hotel on time (was flexible to change the meeting point for pick up and drop off at our hotel which was out of the city centre). He was also flexible enough to focus on what we wanted to do given we had to be back in the hotel than the planned tour end. His car was perfect for a long day out, so we were comfortable the whole day (and perfectly clean!). The 4WD drive was so much fun and he helped us with our gear so we could all enjoy swimming in the Wadi. Thanks Yousuf! A great way to see more than just Muscat

We recently had the pleasure of experiencing a mountain tour to Jabel Shams that exceeded all expectations, thanks to our exceptional guide Yousuf. From the very beginning, his professionalism, deep knowledge of the area, and genuine passion for the outdoors was evident. Yousuf was not only incredibly well-prepared and safety-conscious but also brought the landscape to life with fascinating stories, local history, and environmental insights. He brought us closer to culture and people in Oman, and his kindness made us feel welcome. Yousuf was an excellent guide, collecting us at our hotel and taking us on the trip to Wadi Shab. His insights into Oman, the area and the culture were second to none. He blended interesting facts with personal stories on his family life. This is better than trying to extract the information form a guide book. A genuine and kind person, we look forward to our next trip to Oman and would highly recommend contacting Yousuf as your guide Wadi Shab - not to be missed

Der Ausflug mit Yousuf ins Wadi Bani Kahlid und Wahiba Sands war eine grossartige Erfahrung. Yousuf ist ein fantastischer Guide und ausgezeichneter Fahrer, der uns sicher ins Wadi und die Wüste gebracht hat. Zudem hat er sich während dem ganzen Trip immer wieder nach unserem Wohlergehen erkundigt. Während der Fahrt war sehr auskunftsfreudig und ist ausführlich auf unsere Fragen und Wünsche eingegangen. In der Wüste hat er eine Offroad-Tour durch die Dünen, abseits der Strassen gemacht. Ein weiteres Highlight war die Einladung ins Dorf, in dem er aufgewachsen ist mit abschliessendem Rundgang auf der Farm Hof seiner Familie, in der uns frische Früchte, arabischer Kaffee und frischer Tee serviert wurden. Wir können die Tour und Yousuf als Guide wärmstens weiterempfehlen - es lohnt sich! Grossartige Erfahrung

Yousuf contacted us to let us know that his son Omar would be taking us on our city tour. Omar arrived on time and was an excellent driver, as he negotiated the busy Muscat traffic. We were particularly impressed by the Grand Mosque and Omar was able to answer all our questions. We also visited the Sultan’s Palace, the fish market and the souk, where Omar haggled on our behalf for some earrings. It was a very enjoyable introduction to the sights and customs of Oman and Omar was an excellent guide.An excellent tour

Yousuf was a great guide and excellent driver who communicated all the details and timings very efficiently. Always easy to contact and extremely welcoming. We had a great day at interesting locations in the mountains and a delicious lunch at a spectacular outlook. If you have a head for heights Yousuf will challenge your balance or you can take the easy route. Recommended!!Oman mountain and valley adventure

Yousuf è stata una guida gentilissima e preparata che ci ha mostrato i bellissimi posti di Jabel Sham. È stato anche molto flessibile nel cambiare itinerario perché io soffro la macchina. Grazie Yousuf! Secondo noi il prezzo è stato un po’ alto, ma il tempo dedicato è stato maggiore del previsto.All was perfect!

We had a superb day out with Yousuf. This tour involves a long drive but well worth seeing. In addition to visiting Wadi Bani Khalid and the Wahiba Sands, we had an unscheduled stop at Yousuf’s family farm where we were treated to ginger tea, cake and fruit and were able to hold their 2 week old baby Arabian gazelle. Lovely! Yousuf was the perfect guide and host for this whole day tour. Well worth the long trip!

What a tour! We had a perfect mixture of things to see and do – not too long and not too short. It all started with being picked up at the agreed time at our hotel by Yousuf Alharti who, by the way, reacted very promptly to our request for a very short term booking of the tour the night before. We then rode (in a spacious, airconditioned 4wd) past quaint mountains to our first highlight, Wadi Bani Khalid, where we enjoyed a refreshing swim in turquoise waters surrounded by spectacular rock formations. Next stop: Wahiba Sands. There were dunes as far as the eye could see. After walking around a bit we were treated to a thrilling ride up and down steep dunes (Yousuf is a skilled and carful driver). To top it off, we were privileged to experience true Omani hospitality: after having been shown the traditional irrigation system and old (abandoned) typical Omani houses in Yousuf‘s home village, we were invited to his parents‘ house for coffee, oranges and (homegrown) delicious dates (we were even given dates to take home). Yousuf is a polite, attentive and knowledgeable guide who calmly answers all your questions. We can wholeheartedly recommend the tour and the expert guide Yousuf Alharti.
