Roberto was very communicative and kind thoughtful about his choices of food and the stories he shared. We learned about both food and Napoli history. We especially enjoyed the attention to detail around food choices. We didn’t walk far and yet he found excellent pasta (ragu!) and fresh bufalo mozzarella and refreshing aperol spritzer! And more! What a day! We had a wonderful, interesting and educating day in Raffaele’s good company. Pompei and Herculanum is an absolute must and Raffaele provided us with so much interesting knowledge. On this and also on other matters such as museums, restaurants etc.

We booked a Sunday in August, which meant that many of the usual stops in the tour were closed. Even so, our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, found great spots for food, and introduced us to favorite local treats. We had a wonderful time chatting and learning more about the local culture, and when we asked for additional recommendations, he sent us perfect suggestions for our preferences.

Came for the food left with an excellent appreciation of the culture scene and history of Napoli. Gennaro is a wonderful ambassador for the city and masterfully weaves the interesting history of Napoli with an amazing street food experience.
