Selda was very knowledgeable and accommodating. She walked us through the Samurai district and gave us lots of ideas about what to do in Kanazawa. Tried foods I never would have ordered which made the evening fun. However, only went to 2 restaurants and was not really a street food experience. Would have like to explore more locations and types of foods.

Three weeks into our travels in Japan this was a great way to enjoy a nice walk, in nature, and away from the crowds. Lucy was very relaxed, flexible and also knowledgeable about the area. As an expat herself she gave some interesting insights to life in Japan and Kanazawa.

We were really looking forward to our dinner tour with Monse and I must say that it certainly didn’t disappoint. Monse has high energy and she is very social - a perfect fit for a party of 4 Australians. She introduced us to some fabulous restaurants and we were able to enjoy Kanazawa food at its best. We would recommend Monse to anyone wanting to experience the best of Kanazawa.

This was the first time I organised a private tour, totally appreciated it and will do it again. Selda was on time, helpful, easy-going & very informative & may I add very compromising when I mixed up the times. It was really worthwhile doing it this way. I would highly recommend!! Selda is an eloquent and knowledgeable guide who helped us make the most of our all too short visit to this lovely city. She has a lot of historical knowledge but is also easy to chat with about present-day Japan. She has good restaurant tips and even helped us make a reservation.

Before we even met her, she gave us a great suggestion for dinner. Criselda took us to the highlights of Kanazawa. She explained the history, culture and her favorites. We covered a lot of ground but it felt personal and relaxed. She was patient and engaged. Trust all of her recommendations.

Lucy was a fantastic local host. It was terrible weather on the day of our 4hr tour but we took our time and learnt so much from her. Very knowledgeable insights into the Kanazawa way of life, then and now. We really enjoyed our time and were able to go back to visit some of our highlights again the next day. Highly recommend Lucy.

We enjoyed a lovely afternoon exploring Kanazawa with Nuria. She showed us some interesting sights which we would have never found ourselves as well as sharing lots of interesting facts about the city with us. We had a really lovely time and would recommend the tour!

Monse was an amazing guide! We covered most of Kanazawa in 3 hours. She was fantastic with my three kids and super helpful, capturing many family photos. It felt like a small town and she knew a lot of the people along the way. She was full of knowledge about the history and the hidden gems . One of the most organized and thorough tours I've been on - fantastic!
