We absolutely loved taking the food tour with Naoki! He is such a kind and friendly person, and he took us to truly amazing places to eat while sharing great local recommendations. On top of that, his tour was filled with fascinating insights about Japanese culture, which made the experience even more special. If we ever come back to Osaka, we would definitely love to book another tour with him!

We had 10 tastings experience with Hiromi and I can highly recommend it. We have read so many posts and watched many videos about Osaka eateries and street food, but it is so different to what Hiromi showed us. The food was amazing with every place and dish carefully chosen to wow us. I would definitely do it again if I come back to Osaka.

We finished our tasting tour with Hiromi, last night. She was knowledgeable and an excellent teacher throughout the experience but what really made it special was that she customised the experience on the fly as she learned about what we wanted to get out of it. We got to try new things and Hiromi kept taking us to better and better spots as the night went on. She delivered a truly wonderful tour.

The tour with Naoki was great! He was a formidable host! Punctual, kind and super insightful! In addition to the food he also showed us some hidden temples and shrines. He took the time to explain to us the rituals and meaning if those places ! We memorable experience, thank you very much !

Lucy was a fantastic local host. It was terrible weather on the day of our 4hr tour but we took our time and learnt so much from her. Very knowledgeable insights into the Kanazawa way of life, then and now. We really enjoyed our time and were able to go back to visit some of our highlights again the next day. Family of four (with 2 late teens sons). We booked an Osaka to Kyoto day trip, and Osaka Highlights and Hidden Gem the next day with Naoki. Our sons commented that Naoki felt like a cousin from overseas taking us around. Apart from Naomi’s local knowledge and experience, his genuine warmth and kindness made this a memorable experience!

We did 3 Withlocals tours in Japan and this one was our favorite! Hiromi really added to the experience. It wasn’t just tasting foods but learning some history of the foods and Japan. We loved some of the places she showed us so much that we went back for seconds that same night 🙈. Cannot recommend this tour enough! She also tailored to our likes which we really appreciated.

Hiromi was warm and welcoming and knowledgable about the origins and types of food! We had must-try Osaka foods and she shared some of her usual lunch spots with us. She even gave us locals suggestions to further explore Osaka away from the tourists. I only wish we had scheduled our tour on day 1 or 2 of our visit to Osaka. We'll definitely recommend her to friends in the future!

We had a great time! Walking together trough the streets was so much fun! Hiromi didn‘t only ordered food for us and had great recommendations for traditional drinks, but told us a lot about the area! We would definitely recommend the tour with her to our friends.

Naoki was a great host. He was communicative before our trip, on time the day of, spent more than the allotted time with us, answered all of our questions, and offered to continue to be a resource for us after we left Osaka. He was very flexible with our dietary preferences and interests. We recommend him highly.
