We enjoyed our tour so much. Sofia is a “Renaissance” woman who speaks knowledgeably about most anything—in our case, not only ancient history and Moorish architecture, but also botany and whatever the study of butterflies is. A highlight of our trip.

We loved our morning with Sofia in Sintra. She entertained us and our 2 boys (age 9 and 11) with interesting facts and fascinating stories. She showed us things and told us stories we could have never seen or learned without such a skillful guide! We will definitely connect with her again the next time we are in Portugal! What an amazing tour! I took my wife on this tour for her birthday and Ana really went above and beyond to make it a wonderful day. Sophia took us on her favourite hike up to the Moorish castle, on a combined history and nature trail (only at the castle entrance did we see other tourists). She is amazing, exuding energy and infectious enthusiasm, generously sharing her vast knowledge of her beloved Sintra's natural environment and history in a fun and inspiring way. We hope to be back before too long for more!
