André is a fantastic guide--very knowledgeable and friendly, with a wealth of information about the city. My one regret is that I didn't pay closer attention to the website when booking because one of the reasons I chose With Locals was the advertised option to go on a tour that highlighted "hidden gems" and a local experience. André's profile noted his love of music and I was hoping the tour would revolve around that interest at least in part, but I now realize I should have hit the "customize this experience" button when booking. My mistake, but if that's what you're hoping for as well, be sure to request in advance.

My sister and I began our Portugal trip in Porto. We booked the Kickstart tour with Priscilla our first morning to get the lay of the land. Walking from our hotel, navigating through construction and maps on phone that didn’t work great, we ran about 10 minutes late. Thankfully I was able to communicate with Priscila and she waited for us and gave us our full tour time. Our tour was very comfortable and informative and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. Priscilla followed up our tour via WhatsApp with a list of spots we visited and others for us to enjoy. We would highly recommend the kickstart tour and Priscilla as a guide for any Porto tour. Andre was a great guide with the perfect laid back vibe for our family with two teenagers. The 90 minutes flew by and yet we saw so much more than we ever would have on our own. He knew exactly where we could get in without needing to wait in a long line, great local information and by the end we were well-oriented to Porto and able to navigate to a few of the other places we wanted to check out in more depth. We had a great tour with Joao on our first afternoon in Porto. Joao was very knowledgeable of Porto and its history and shared this in an interesting manner. We did the tour with our two young children (3.5 years and 9 months) and Joao was very patient and understanding of them - even diverting our tour so we could grab an ice cream for our 3.5 year old. Joao shared lots of local recommendations with us - places we wouldn’t have found without his tips! The Tour with Orlando was very informative and entertaining; he really knows the city and shared with us a lot of different stories and locations about hidden places in Porto. We had a wonderful kick start tour with Jorge- he showed us some of the landmarks and beautiful vantage points of Porto and answered all our questions about the city.
